About Me

I am Muktananda (Mukta) Saraswati - an Authorised Civil Marriage Celebrant, appointed in January 1999 by the Attorney General's Department.

The design of unique and non-traditional wedding rituals is my specialty; for those wishing to express their spirituality through their ceremony. My home is in Springbrook, in Queensland's GOLD COAST HINTERLAND. I conduct rituals and ceremonies throughout this region, including the FAR NORTH COAST OF NSW.

I also design and conduct a variety of unique rituals and rites of passage ceremonies. Examples are: assisting people moving through trauma and grief; divorce; child naming; house blessing and adolescent rites.

While living in India I experienced, the ancient Vedic fire ceremony known as Yajna, Havan or Homa. These rituals are performed for a variety of reasons. I conduct these sacred rituals during the full moon, for seasonal celebrations and other auspicious occasions.

Many couples choose to have a small fire ritual as part of their wedding ceremony once they understand the significance. Including this ritual is becoming increasingly popular.
