Commitment Ceremonies: Love knows no boundaries, yet it is not always possible to make a legal declaration. The relationship is strong and you are both committed to a long-term partnership. Gather your friends and family around and celebrate with an expressive ceremony, honouring your journey and your love for each other with ritual and symbol.
Renewal/Affirmation of Vows: A time to pause and reflect on your time together; an opportunity to affirm the love that has deepened with the years; a re-affirmation for which regrets can be left behind; a symbol of looking forward to many more years together. The vows that you make will reflect a comfortable mature love, blessed with all the joys and challenges of the years.
Baby/Child Naming: Recognizing a new life and publicly giving him/her a name is perhaps the most joyous celebration we can share with our family and friends. Our name carries a particular sound and vibration which links us to our life's experiences, affecting our relationships with everyone we meet. A name giving ceremony acknowledges this deeper significance. This ritual welcomes the child into the family and community, providing a deep and satisfying experience for everyone present.
Adolescence: Adolescence can be a period of psychological turmoil, our young people need confidence, recognition, encouragement and other qualities to help prepare them for the increasing responsibilities they will face as early adulthood unfolds. A rite of passage ritual to honour this change may help the young person's emotional well-being by easing the passage from childhood to adolescence. Mentored by the elders, the young person can be shown that an exciting world of adventure, discovery, knowledge and wisdom is waiting.
Birthdays: Birthdays are transitions, major Rites of Passage, there are many ways to celebrate these special events. Your guests can be included as special participants in the rituals, ensuring special memories.
Adoption: An adoption ceremony helps to fold the new child into the existing family. Pictures of the adoption ceremony can later be used to help explain how the child came to be in the family. For the older child, adoption ceremonies can be a powerful confirmation that they are now part of a family with all the joys and responsibilities that entails.
Step Families: A step family ceremony acknowledging the new relationships. Pledging openness, and vowing cooperation can be a source of strength and lay down a pattern for growth and understanding.
Croning: The definition of a Crone is a "wise old woman." Croning is the ritual process of becoming an active wise woman. This wise woman has moved past mid-life and embraces her age without fear. She acknowledges her inner strength, power of endurance and the wisdom gained from her life experiences. For millennia women's wisdom was honoured, crones were revered. Women around the world are now reclaiming the identity and status of the ancient crone. Croning is particularly relevant for women 45 and older.
Divorce: Whether you have desired the divorce or not, there is a sense of loss. When it is time to say good-bye, a divorce ceremony can help you end the relationship without bitterness, acknowledging whatever good has come from the union, and move onto the next stage of your life.
House Blessing: When moving into a new house, we enter a new energy sphere. Invoking the sacred higher energies that vibrate in your home will help remove various negative vibrations and create an environment of peace and harmony, enhancing all aspects of one's life. Make it a place where Divinity is welcome. Turn the traditional house warming into a ritual that shares your hopes and dreams with family and friends, making it a truly special home.
New Projects: Aligning head, heart and hands, inviting the Divine to be the guidance in creating a new venture, be that a business, premises, partner, job, or a break away from the past to invite the new.
Celebrating Change: Birth, graduation, engagement, commencing menopause, retirement, any major personal growth/life changing experience.
Recovery/Letting Go: Memorials, farewells, traumas, operations, accidents, any difficult major personal growth/life changing experience.
"When you distance yourself from the source of suffering, when you name it as opposite to what you want to be, you lose a chance to change it. Because it continues to live inside you, as part of you, making you make many of your choices, but you refuse to recognize it, so you remain in ignorant bliss and you continue to suffer. Whenever something hurts you and you don't accept it fully as a complete part of your history, you create a gap in your memory; a gap which, when the hurt is strong or repeated many times, becomes occupied by a spirit of trauma. When you conquer them, it brings profound healing, reverses unhappiness, and treats disease. Diseases are the means by which an organism tries to fight the traumas on its own. When you free yourself from trauma, you heal your ancestors and protect generations after you. When we go through life, the traumas we experience stay in us as painful knots, and are tightened by the spirits of trauma. If we don't untie these knots during our lives, we are going to have this done after our physical deaths. It doesn't matter if we believe in the afterlife or not."
